What we collect, and what we do with it.

Estate planning means handing over details about your family and your property. This page sets out what happens to that information.

Information you give us

When you use the plan finder, start a plan, book a consult or contact us, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, and the answers you give about your household and property.

If you go on to complete an intake, you provide the substantive information needed to prepare your documents — beneficiaries, assets, and the people you are appointing.

Information collected automatically

We record standard technical information when you use the site: pages visited, referring page, approximate location derived from your network, browser and device type.

Where you arrive from an advertisement, we record the campaign identifiers attached to that link so we know which campaigns are worth running.

How we use it

We use what you give us to:

  • Prepare, review and deliver the documents you ordered
  • Contact you about your plan, your consult, or a question you asked
  • Verify your identity at signing, as the notarization process requires
  • Understand which parts of the site work and which do not
  • Meet our legal, professional and record-keeping obligations

Who it is shared with

Your information is shared with the attorney if you purchase a review or a consultation, and with the service providers we use to run the business — the document platform, the online notarization provider, payment processing, email delivery and analytics.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

Confidentiality

Information you share while obtaining legal services is treated as confidential in line with the professional obligations that apply to the attorney handling your matter. Using this website by itself does not create an attorney-client relationship — see our disclaimer for what does.

How long we keep it

Records relating to legal work are retained for the period required by professional and legal obligations. Marketing and analytics records are kept for as long as they remain useful and are then deleted.

[Placeholder — confirm the exact retention periods your practice applies before publication.]

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the message.

To make a request, call 888-711-9488 or use the contact form.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technology to keep the site working, measure traffic, and attribute advertising. You can block cookies in your browser; parts of the site may then behave differently.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
