This is all of the incapacity documents together, not just a financial power of attorney. Durable financial POA, healthcare POA with a HIPAA release, and a living will — so someone you chose can act for you on money and on medicine if you cannot.

The gap a will does not cover

A will speaks only after death. The harder stretch for most families is the one before it — a stroke, a bad fall, a diagnosis — where you are alive but cannot sign a check, talk to a bank, or tell a doctor what you want.

Without these documents, the answer is a guardianship petition: a court process, a lawyer, and a judge deciding who acts for you. These documents are how you decide instead.

What each document handles

Money and medicine are separate powers, and they need separate paperwork.

  • Durable Financial Power of Attorney — banking, property, tax and legal matters, still effective after incapacity.
  • Healthcare Power of Attorney — the person who makes medical decisions when you cannot.
  • HIPAA Release — so the people helping can actually be told what is going on.
  • Living Will — your instructions on life-prolonging procedures, artificial nutrition and hydration, and comfort care.

How you get it done

You answer plain-English questions online, at whatever hour suits you. Your documents are assembled from templates a Florida estate planning attorney wrote and keeps current. Then you sign, with witnessing and notarization handled online where Florida law allows it, and your documents are stored where your family can find them. If you want an attorney to look at your plan or handle it for you, that is available separately.

What's included

  • Durable Financial Power of Attorney
  • Healthcare Power of Attorney
  • HIPAA Release
  • Living Will
  • Attorney-written Florida templates
  • Remote online notarization and witnessing where Florida law allows

What it does not cover

  • A will — this set covers your lifetime, not what happens after
  • Probate avoidance or a trust
  • Deeds transferring real property

Is this you?

If none of these quite fit, that is worth a conversation rather than a guess.

  • Anyone who wants the incapacity side covered before anything else
  • Adults helping an aging parent get documents in place
  • People who already have a will but nothing that works while they are alive

More general questions live on the questions page.

How is this different from buying a financial power of attorney on its own?

A financial POA covers money only. This is the full set — money, medical decisions, medical information access and end-of-life instructions — for less than buying them separately.

Do I still need a will?

Yes. These documents end at death. If you want the will as well, the Power 5 package includes both sides.

What does the married price cover?

$450 covers both spouses — two complete sets, usually naming each other as agent with a contingent choice behind them.
