Who qualifies for the First Responder Estate Planning Program
The roles that qualify for the discounted rate, what we ask you to send, and what happens after you apply.
Roles that qualify.
A discounted rate is available to people who qualify. The amount is confirmed in writing when we review your application, before you pay for anything.
A spouse or partner in the same household can be included on the same application, so both of you end up with matching documents.
- EMTs and paramedics, public or private service
- Flight and critical care medics
- 911 telecommunicators and dispatchers
- Emergency department nurses, technicians and physicians
- Search and rescue and emergency management personnel
- Ambulance service administrative and support staff
- Retired first responders
- Private ambulance and hospital-based services qualify, not just municipal ones.
- Volunteer squads qualify.
What we ask you for.
We do not check these details automatically. Someone reads every application and may follow up by email if something is unclear.
Apply for the emts / first responders rate- Your work email address, or the email domain your employer uses
- The name of your department, agency, district or employer
- Your badge, unit or employee number, if you have one
- Your role, and whether you are active, retired, reserve or civilian staff
If you don't qualify.
These are discounted rates on the same plans anyone can buy. If your role isn't on the list, nothing is closed to you — the plans, the documents and the process are identical.
